where are your guts to fly

so just a little bit ago, the DHL man came to pick up a few packages my dad wanted me to send out for him since they're on a business trip. i open the door and give him the packages, and as he's taking them, he says..

DHL man: you used to play piano right?
DHL man: ten years ago?
ME: .. yep! i still do!
DHL man: you've grown up a lot.
[DHL man leaves]

i sort of just stood there for a little. huh.

i think it's interesting that this SAME exact DHL guy picked up packages for us mad long ago when i was in elementary school and used to practice piano right after i showered and i had on a t-shirt and tighty whities and i had to sit on a placemat i took from the kitchen because my thighs would stick to the piano bench. [hey that's like a random fact right there!]

i saw up [in 3d] on tuesday! i'm not normally one to say "ooh i saw this movie today and it was cool" because really, no one's interested in hearing about that unless there's something interesting to read about it.

but, UP. man. i REALLy enjoyed that movie. i'm not sure exactly what it was, but the liberties allowed with animation, plus the main character being asian, combined into the multitudes of hilarious moments, created a movie that had me LOL-ing almost nonstop. it was basically as if all the little spontaneous and subtle things that i find hilarious were stuck into this movie, and they just hit every funny chord in my body. i think i found it particularly funny because the other people i saw it with (like matthew) weren't laughing nearly as much. heehee.

not so much the plotline, but moreso the CHARACTERS completely made the movie for me. i'd definitely see it again a bunch of times. i'm laughing thinking about it right now. it was also the first movie i saw in 3d, which was pretty cool in the beginning, but it wasn't outstanding as the movie got going, or maybe i just forgot it was in 3d.

[r+r+r]
-my parents leave me home alone for two weeks-ish every year or so, because they decide to go on a vacation somewhere or another. which is super cool! i know i like being home alone cause i get to go wherever and do whatever and go out to eat all the time and not do the dishes until the last day and forget to feed my dad's fish and run around naked (just kidding) and all that fun stuff.
-i wear adidas adrenaline. i bought it middle school sometime, and stuck with it ever since. it's always cool when someone says that it's my distinctive scent (which isn't often at all). the last person i remember saying that to me was kevin yuey. ha.
-i'm a picky eater. there's no "kind of" or "sorta" because i know in most people's books, i am a legitimately picky eater. just to list some things i don't like to eat: honey (ESPECIALLy not honey nut cheerios), cucumber, avocado, pickle, zucchini, tomato, mayonnaise, raw fish, egg (in small portions it's okay), asparagus, caviar, ham-salami-bologne-pastrami, corn on the cob (kernels are great!), grapefruit, eggplant, duck, frog legs, bamboo, eel, brown rice, and i know the list goes on but i just can't think of anymore. i talked to my mom about this quite recently, and she says i'm probably so picky because she's a good cook and always cooked me what i liked to eat, and little to none of what i didn't like eating. how nice. :]

The DHL man situation sounds so storybook-like, or old tv sitcom-like, where the delivery people are always the same, and it seems that the whole neighborhood knows each other. i love it.

I'm going to see UP tomorrow! would you recommend watching it in 3d or is regular good enough?

thats a large list of things. not just SOME. hahah but the mom thing is so cute.

So i was at a bed&bath today with my mom, and i saw these pineapple-embroidered bedsheets HAHA. they were creme, and the thread matched, so it was subtle, but it made me think of you instantly.

[sorry, reposted because I saw a typo]

Darn, I'm not the first comment!

That was a really cute story about the DHL man. And to think that even after 10 years, you don't know his name. Mom probably does.
I always feel bad about not knowing my mailman's or UPS guy's name: partly because he knows mine and partly because I see him ALL the time and we chat sometimes. But how do you just ask, especially when a long time has already gone by without asking?

Along the same lines, I find it amazing how your friends from church are all grown up now--I remember when they were little kids in VBS!

funny how your sister comments on your blog.

i wonder if my brother would be creeped out if i did that too 10 years from now when he's your age haha

as for the pickiness, well, we're going to work on that :)

awwww that was such a cute story! and okay, it wasn't just me whose thighs stick to the piano bench in the summer cause it was so hot. good i'm normal.

i'm really glad you saw UP, i looooved it :) a really heart-warming film with cuuuute characters. squirrel.

it's weird how people say i wear xxx cologne. because wearing is like, physically carrying something on your body. it's weird to say you wear sprits of nice-smelling liquid droplets on your body.

picky eater, YEAH I'D SAY SO. you listed like 1/2 of my favorite foods :(
and my thighs would stick to the piano bench too! but i just dealt w/ the pain instead of sitting on a placemat. smart, young lad you were with your tshirt and tighty whities :)

oh and next time you see michelle sha, ask to see her cell phone keychain. i think you'll like it, and it (quite obviously) reminded me of you. :D
